Ken Stoner made a trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand and Doha, Qatar in April 2012 to represent Creative Oklahoma and TEDx. Stoner was chosen as one of the top 100 TEDx Leaders/Licensees from around the world to attend the TEDxSummit. “The TED community is the most innovating and creative in the world and the fact that we get to play in that sandbox, elbow to elbow with the other curious and passionate leaders, is a testament to the momentum that we’ve created in our state in a relatively short time,” said Stoner.
His visit to Chiang Mai, Thailand was to attend TEDxThapae and meet with the leaders of TEDxThapae, who are also some of the same leaders of Chiang Mai Creative City. Stoner had an informational visit to explore a future relationship and potential collaboration on creativity with Chiang Mai.
